Barbara Ann Morrison

Barbara Ann Chappelle Morrison, 79, resident of 108 Arbor Ct., wife of James F. Morrison, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born August 2, 1938, in Ninety Six, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Ella Bell Austin Chappelle. She was a graduate of Brewer High School and was retired from Winchester Electronics in Oakville, CT.

Mrs. Morrison was a member of Mays United Methodist Church, Ninety Six.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 50 years are three sons, Quincy Morrison of Waterbury, CT, Lawrence Morrison of Hamden, CT, and Jamie Morrison and his wife, Chanta Tinney of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Alonzo Chappelle and William “Fat” Chappelle, both of Ninety Six; five sisters, Marie Dean and Helen Moore, both of Waterbury, CT, Catherine Williams of Hodges, Mary Ella Minyard of Greenwood and Irene Chappelle of White Mountain, AZ; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her parents along with a sister, Lou Ella Chappelle; and two brothers, John Henry Chappelle and Willie James Chappelle.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Thessa Smith and Mr. Kenneth Chappelle officiating.

The family is at the home on Arbor Ct. and will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.

A memorial service will be held 3PM Saturday, January 6th at Mays United Methodist Church.
