Obituary for Barbara Jean Jordan Shelton

Barbara Jean Jordan Shelton, 76, resident of 4802 Pickens Creek Road, wife of William Arthur “Art” Shelton, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at her home.

Born March 16, 1941, in Rock Hill, she was a daughter of the late William Albert and Linda Joyce Beckham Jordan. She was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was primarily a homemaker but worked seasonally at Park Seed Company and formerly with Mervelers Jewelers.

She was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving in addition to her loving husband of 56 years is a grandson, Tony Lee Shelton, Jr. of Greenwood.

She was predeceased by her son, Tony Lee Shelton.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon Thursday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Rick Hendricks officiating. Entombment will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 until the service hour.

Pallbearers will be Mark Sutley, Dustin Sutley, Jimmy Canfield, Tyler Mann, Clyde Lee and Gatlin Roach.

Flowers will be received and appreciated, but those wishing can donate to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 326 Montague Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29649.
