Obituary for Billie Ray Middlebrooks

Billie Ray Middlebrooks, 88, resident of Cassell Circle, husband of Gloria Nowak Middlebrook, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017, at Hospice House.

Born February 19, 1929, in Pensacola, FL, he was a son of the late Anderson E. and Nancy Jane Mills Middlebrook. He was a 1948 graduate of Pensacola High School and attended Pensacola Jr. College. Mr. Middlebrooks was a US Air Force Veteran and retired from Monsanto with 35 years of service.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ninety Six.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years are two sons, Billy R. Middlebrooks, II, and Gary Middlebrooks, all of Pensacola; a grandson, Billy R. Middlebrooks, III, and a great-granddaughter, Jolie Rae Middlebrooks, all of Pensacola.

He was predeceased by a brother, Anderson E. Middlebrooks, Jr.

The family will be at the home on Cassell Circle and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 5 to 6 pm Tuesday, December 26th, and will also receive friends Friday, December 29th, from 5 to 7 pm, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory, Faith Chapel North, 1000 S. Highway 29, Cantonment, FL.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Gonzalez United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gonzalez, FL.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ninety Six GFT, 205 North Church Street, Ninety Six, SC 29666, or to the charity of one’s choice.
