Obituary for Carolyn Eaddy King

Carolyn Eaddy King, 102, resident of 611 Pine Log Road, widow of George Wesley King, passed away May 7, 2018, at her home.

Born August 7, 1915, in Hemingway, she was a daughter of the late Ulmer St. Clair Eaddy and Elizabeth Waddell Eaddy. She attended and graduated from Williamsburg County Schools and attended both Coker College and the College of Charleston. Mrs. King retired as office manager from Dr. Finger's office in Charleston.

She was a member of Walterboro Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Gayle Simmons, with whom she made her home; a sister, Dorothy Stone; and three grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, Kenny King and Thomas George King; two grandchildren and five siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 pm Saturday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ware Shoals.

Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Eric Bellamy, Michael Bellamy, Matthew McReynolds, Terrance Carlisle, Randy Green, Mark Herring and Nick Herring.

Honorary escort will be Tammy Woodward.

The family will be at the home on Pine Log Road and will receive friends at the funeral home in Greenwood from 2:30 to 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
