Obituary for Christine A. Rogers Holmes

Christine A. Rogers Holmes, 85, resident of Bluff Road, widow of Calvin F. Holmes, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born February 27, 1932, in Woodruff, she was a daughter of the late Mildred Rogers Perry. She was a graduate of Woodruff High School and was retired from Belk Department Store.
Mrs. Holmes was a member of Coronaca Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing countless hours from her pier. She and her husband traveled the world extensively during his time in the US Air Force.

Surviving are three sisters, Brenda Snedeker of Inman, Bobbi Marcham of Boiling Springs and Lucy Tidd of Inman; two brothers, Harold Perry of Boiling Springs and Frank Perry of Inman; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; a special friend, Fred Hawkins and her loving companion and pet, Maxie.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Polatty officiating. Entombment will be in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Coronaca Baptist Church, 300 Highway 246 North, Greenwood, SC 29649.
