Obituary for Colon A Lark, Sr.

Colon A. Lark, Sr., 78, resident of Montague Avenue Extension, widower of Martha Madden Lark, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018, at his home.

Born September 26, 1939, in Anderson, he was a son of the late Alex and Nettie Lou Bagwell Lark. He attended Greenwood High School and retired from the Self Regional Medical Center Maintenance Department. He was formerly employed with Riegel Textiles of Ware Shoals.

He was a member of Providence Baptist Church of Hodges.

Surviving are two daughters, Susan Lark Sampson of Waterloo, and Sherry Lark-French of Greenwood; a brother, Calvin and wife Lorainne Larke of Anderson; two sisters, Thelma Shirley of Donalds and Frankie Beeks of Delzell, SC; two grandchildren, Crystal Duvall Massey and Heather Boyter; two great grandchildren, Brayden Massey and Ellie Cate Adcox; and a special friend, Frances McClain of Craytonville.

He was predeceased by a son, Colie Lark and a sister, Nora Price.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 Monday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lamar Babb officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family is at the home on Montague Avenue Extension and will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 3:30 Monday afternoon.
