Obituary for Cynthia Jean "Marty" Baker

Cynthia Jean “Marty” Lynch Baker, 59, resident of 83 West Miller Street Cross Hill, widow of Albert Eugene Baker, Sr., passed away November 14, 2017, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born November 8, 1958 in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Joyce and Mary Jean Watts Lynch. She attended Clinton High School and First Baptist Church of Cross Hill.

Surviving are two sons, Albert E. Baker, Jr. (Rachel) of Augusta, GA and Eric A. Baker of Greenwood; one daughter, Tammy Ott Brown (Mike) of Bamburg; four sisters, Patricia Craft of Laurens, Joyce Page (Charles) of Honea Path, Linda Bernini of Greenwood, Sandra Lynch (Mike Brandon) of Newberry; one brother, Gerald Lynch of Cross Hill; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Haley, Kendall, Buddy, Peanut, Emmy and Summie. She also had a number of nieces and nephews.

Marty was predeceased by two brothers, Marvin Joyce Lynch, Jr. and Samuel David Lynch.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 AM, Friday, November 17, 2017 from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Dr. Chuck Moates officiating. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church of Cross Hill Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of her sister, Linda Bernini at 117 McGee Avenue and will receive friends Friday from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association 4217 Park Place Ct. Glen Allen, VA 23060.
