Obituary for David Micheal Hegler

David Micheal “ Mickey” Hegler, 69, husband of Deborah Susan White, resident of 578 Fishing Village Rd., died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Self Regional Healthcare Medical Center.
Born September 16, 1948 in Lenoir City, TN to the late Floyd C., and Janie S McMillan Hegler, he joined the U.S. Navy after high school and proudly served for 8 years. Mickey was the owner and operator of The Corner Store for many years.
He was a member of Mine Lodge # 117 A.F.M., and Plum Branch Baptist Church.
Surviving other than his loving wife of 39 years of the home, are his children, Michael Lee Hegler and wife Paula of Plum Branch, and Sara Melissa Hegler of McCormick; his grandchildren, Tristan Hegler and Montgomery Hegler, both of Plum Branch; his brother, Charles Hegler of McCormick. He was predeceased by a brother Jerry Hegler, and a sister Mary Ann Brewster.
Memorial Services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 PM from Plum Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Brenson Jennings officiating.
The family is at the home, and will receive friends Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the home on Fishing Village Rd.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Mickey’s memory be made to the Humane Society of McCormick County, 614 Belle Trace, McCormick, SC 29835.
