Obituary for Evelyn Sears Kincaid

Evelyn Sears Kincaid, 92, widow of the late Col. William Leo Kincaid USAF (Ret), resident of Marshall Road, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at Wesley Commons Healthcare Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Clemson, SC on May 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John Quinn and Effie Phillips Sears. Evelyn graduated from Calhoun-Clemson High School and attended Lander College. She married the love of her life in 1950.
Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A longtime resident of Clemson, she was an avid Clemson Tiger fan.
She was a member of Clemson United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her children, Deborah “Debbie” Powell and husband Terry of Waterloo, William L. “Bill” Kincaid, Jr and wife Mini of Jacksonville Beach, FL; her grandchildren, William Glenn “Willy” Powell and wife Janet of Bluffton, SC, Amber Kincaid Hrabovsky and husband Mike of Marietta, GA and William L. “Trey” Kincaid, III of Roswell, GA; and her 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, August 18th, at 1:00 PM from Old Stone Church Cemetery in Clemson, with Rev. Todd Polatty officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Evelyn’s memory be made to the Old Stone Church Commission, P.O. Box 1465 Clemson, SC 29633-1465.
