Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Lagrone

Mary Elizabeth Lagrone, 90, widow of the late Otis C Lagrone, former resident of Grenta Green, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Abbeville Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 6, 1927 in Greenwood to the late Everett B and Almena Fuller Proctor, she grew up in Panola and attended Greenwood County Schools. Mary retired from Greenwood Mills.
She was an avid shopper and enjoyed traveling, including flying with her special friend Thomas.
Mary was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church and the Cheerful Workers Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda L. Smith and husband Darrell of Donalds and Janet L. Garrison and husband Chris of Greenwood; her sister, Louise Hall of Greenwood; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Oswald.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM from Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Cheryl Remchuk and Rev. Chris Garrison officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends immediately following the service in the family room of Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
