Obituary for Nancy Gillian Hanley

Nancy Gillian Hanley, 88, widow of James E “Jim” Hanley, resident of Dixie Drive, formally of Athens, GA, died Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her residence.
Born July 9, 1929 in Greenwood County to the late James Alvin and Ada Ophelia Butler Gillian, she retired from International Paper Company of Athens, GA. She made her home back in Greenwood in 2012.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Nancy was a member of Forest Heights Baptist Church in Athens.
Surviving are her children, Diane Moody and husband Bobby of Hodges, Debra Davis and husband Larry of Greenwood, Danny Hanley and wife Manda of Hull GA, and David Hanley and wife Jennifer of Milton GA; her grandchildren, Brian Moody and wife Kim of Hodges, Gina Westbrook and husband Conrad of Orange City FL, Megan Hanley of Hull GA, and Carson Hanley of Milton GA; her 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Parker Hanley.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM from Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Conrad Westbrook officiating.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Caris Healthcare, especially Tiera and Keri, and loving caregivers Bertha, Sophia, and Jane.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Nancy’s memory be made to Hyde Park Baptist Church, 330 Deadfall Rd., Greenwood, SC 29649.
