Peggy Reidmiller

Margaret Benish “Peggy” Reidmiller, 72, resident of 208 Lawton Street, widow of John Henry “Jack” Reidmiller, passed away July 31, 2018, on what would have been their 53rd wedding anniversary, while a patient at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Braddock, PA, June 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late George M. and Margaret Ruth Whalen Benish. She was a graduate of Penn Joint High School in Trafford, PA.

A member of the Greenwood Community Church of the Nazarene, she was also a member of the Lamp Lighters Sunday School Class and formerly taught the Middlers Sunday School Class for many years.

Surviving are a son, John Reidmiller of Greenwood; three daughters, Chris Ann and husband Cort Lapina of Irmo, Jodi Brock, and Sue and husband Jason Simmons, all of Greenwood; grandchildren, Laura Labuda and husband Ashley Hulon, Danielle Brock, Hannah Simmons, Gage Lapina, Bethany Simmons, Sarah Simmons and all who called her Memal; four sister-in-law’s, Marlene Benish, Debbie Benish, Pat Pifer, Nancy and husband Mike Plechey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, George Benish and Sam Benish and a brother-in-law, Ken Pifer.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday at the Greenwood Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Glen Link officiating.

The family is at the home on Lawton Street and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 6 to 8 Friday evening.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children Ministries at the Greenwood Church of the Nazarene, 2022 Cokesbury Road, Greenwood, SC 29649.
