Obituary for Sandra Lynn Pettigrew

Sandra Lynn Williams Pettigrew, 69, resident of Sunset Drive, widow of Robert McNeill “Bob” Pettigrew, died Sunday, July, 16, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her daughters.
Born March 6, 1948 in Abbeville County to the late Hugh Arthur and Frances Louise Bowie Williams. Sandra had a career in the public school system for many years and was of the Christian faith. Her passion was gardening and creating special spaces for butterflies and birds within her gardens.
Surviving are her three daughters, Jenny Lind (Scott) Boggs and Robin (Brent) McKellar, all of Greenwood, Jill (Darren) Bosler of Abbeville; a step son, Tucker Pettigrew (Katie) of Wallaha; a sister, Penny Richey of Abbeville; eight grandsons, one granddaughter, one niece, and one nephew; her special canine companion of sixteen years, Jake.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted Tuesday, July 18, at 12:00 PM from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Evans officiating.
The family is at the home of Robin & Brent McKellar, 206 Woodbury Dr., and will receive friends Tuesday from 11AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be made in Sandra’s memory to HospiceCare of the Piednont, 408 W. Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
