Obituary for Sue Banks Smith Latham

Sue Banks Smith Latham, resident of Greenwood, SC, died Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Hospice House, HospiceCare of the Piedmont.

Born in McCormick, South Carolina, on February 19, 1925, she was the daughter of Johnny Ezra Wyatt Banks & Annie Selista Carroll Banks. She was retired from Parke-Davis and was a member of Abney Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Clyde Thomas Smith and Robert Allen Latham; daughter: Peggy Smith; two sisters: Effie Hawkins & Janice Booth; three brothers: Ernest, Radford & Fletch Banks.

Survivors: Son Thomas M. Smith & wife Mercene, New London, NC; two grandsons: Mark Smith & wife, Trisha, Midlothian, VA; Craig Smith and wife Paula, Wake Forest, NC; four great grandchildren: Kelly Ann Smith and Lindsey Smith, Wake Forest, NC; Emily Smith and Ethan Smith, Midlothian, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday at the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Brent Bennett officiating.

Entombment will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Mark Smith, Craig Smith, John Kiappes, Richard Phillips, Kenny McClendon, Jason McClendon.

The family will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home, prior to the service, from 12:30 to 2:00 Friday afternoon.
