Paul Yates "Danny" Daniel, 59, resident of 312 Pinehurst Drive, husband of Pat Tomashitis Daniel died Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home.
Born in Abbeville, October 28, 1953, he was a son of
Mrs. Pauline Waters Daniel Healan and the late Arlington Yates Daniel. Danny was retired from Covidian, Greenwood Plant. He and Pat were avid fishermen and were former members of the American Bass Association-Couples Trail.
Mr. Daniel was a member of Grace Community Church.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mirian Corley and Jeanette Knight.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Laurens are a brother, Malcom "Mackie" Daniel and wife Gladys of Greenwood; special nephew, Anthony Wiley and wife, Mona of Ninety Six; and his best friend Buster.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 PM from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rodney Schultz, Reverend Keith Cromer and Reverend Charles Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Russell Wiley, Anthony Wiley, Donnie Roberts, Bill Tomashitis, Jim Sutton, Steve Rice and Jerry Arnold.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends Sunday from 3-5PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 231 Hampton Street, Greenwood, SC 29646.
The family would especially like to thank members of the Hospice team and their volunteers for their great care and compassion shown to the family during Danny's illness. You are angels of God.
