Dustin Harrison "Dusty" Kent, 17, resident of 1523 Mt. Lebanon Road, died March 30, 2013 in Abbeville County as the result of an automobile accident.
Born April 16, 1995, in Anderson, he was a son of Bruce Charles and Nickie Lynn Colantuono Kent. He was a senior at Dixie High School where he was a member of the soccer team and the track team. Dusty was also a student at the Abbeville Career Center where he was enrolled in the Engineering Program. He was formerly a member of the TOROS Soccer Program and most recently was a member of CASA (Clemson Anderson Soccer Alliance).
He was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Greenwood.
Surviving in addition to his parents of the home are his maternal grandmother, Betty Colantuono of Donalds; his paternal grandfather, Ronald N. Kent of Garner, NC; two brothers, Brandon Kent and Garrett Kent, both of the home; five sisters, Marissa Kent, Alexandra Kent, Jericha Kent, Savannah Kent and Tiffany Kent, all of the home; his maternal uncle, Bart Colantuono; his maternal aunts, Patti (Rocky) Hartman and Alexis (Rick) Damo; paternal uncles, Mike (Deena) Kent and Jeff (Tracy) Kent; and many loving cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at North Side Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Lethco officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Brian Gamble, Matthew Hagan, Terry Hogston, Ricky Patterson, Mitchell Hunt and Ryan Calvo.
Honorary escort will be members of the Dixie High School Soccer Team.
The family is at the home on Mt. Lebanon Road and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home from 5:30 to 8:00 Monday afternoon.
