KATHERINE H. WOOD

Sara Katherine Hastings Wood, 80, resident of 121 Liberty Street, widow of Alfret R. Wood, died September 19, 2004 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born September 24, 1924 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Sara Nora Pitts Hastings. She was retired from Greenwood Mills #5 Plant and a member of Faith Temple Holiness Church in Saluda.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Virginia) Williams, Mrs Tommy (Patricia Williams) both of Ninety Six and Mrs. A.D. (Judy) Wertz of Saluda, one brother, Connie Hastings of Ninety Six, two sisters, Vera Berry and Daisy Evans both of Ninety Six, three step-daughters, Jenny Hammond, Joyce Furr and Ann of Florida., nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Wood was predeceased by her first husband, Isac “Bubba” Kitchens.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:30pm Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Swinnea, Rev. Carlos Fincannon and Rev. David Evans.

Burial will be in Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family is at the home on Liberty Street and will receive friends at the funeral home from
7 to 9 Tuesday.
