Mildred McNair Hughes, 72, resident of 124 Hughes Road, widow of Bobby Carol Hughes, died February 22, 2012, at Hospice House.

Born February 5, 1940, in Calhoun Falls, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary Wideman McNair. Mrs. Hughes was a graduate of Calhoun Falls High School and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Donna Elizabeth Hughes of Ware Shoals, Robbie H. and husband, Bob Fisher of Hodges and Karen H. and husband, Dwight Polattie of Greenwood; a sister, Patricia and husband, Marshall Holmes of Waterloo; a brother, George McNair of Kannapolis, NC; four granddaughters, Courtney Michelle Fisher, Ashley Nicole Polattie, Bethany Michaela Fisher and Megan Elizabeth Polattie.

She was predeceased by a son, George Michael Hughes and a granddaughter, Adalyn Grace Polattie.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Cobb and Rev. David Garrick officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Chad McNair, Wayne Hughes, Ronnie Hughes, Ron Hilley, Bob Fisher and Dwight Polattie.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 3:00 Saturday afternoon.
