Miriam McDonald Ferrell, 70, resident of 202 Old Greenwood Road, wife of Earnest Edward Ferrell died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Hospice House.

Born in Greenwood County, a daughter of the late William "Bill' and Emma Mae Summer McDonald, Mrs. Ferrell loved fishing, gardening, horseback riding and especially loved her animals. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are sons, Edward Ralph Ferrell and wife Pam of Greenwood and Joseph Bruce Ferrell and wife Lori Heiger of Durham, NC; daughter, Judy Ruth Raulerson and husband David of St. Augustine, FL; 3 step grandchildren, Daniel Acheson and fiancee Marie and David Acheson and wife Sandra, all of Waterloo and Shelby Raulerson of St. Augustine, FL; great-grandson, D.J. Acheson of Waterloo; brother, Perry McDonald and wife Mary Frances of Coronaca; and sisters, Frances Sperry and husband Charles of Greenwood, Jean Cook and husband Carol of Owings and Betty Cooper and husband Vernon of Fountain Inn. She was preceded in death by son, Earnest Clinton "Clint" Ferrell.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at First Freewill Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Todd and Reverend Paul Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 2:00 PM Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Donald Davis , David Acheson, Daniel Acheson, David Reed, Butch Moore and Keith Sperry.

The family is at the home, 202 Old Greenwood Road.

Those desiring may make memorials to First Freewill Baptist Church, PO Box 365, Greenwood, SC 29648 or to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 in memory of Mrs. Ferrell.
