Samuel A. Abraham, 92, resident of 124 Plantation Drive, husband of Irene Dorondo Abraham, died November 13, 2004 at his home.
Born in Butler, PA, August 16, 1912, he was a son of the late John and Cathryn Michaels Abraham. He was a graduate of Butler Senior High School and several military colleges. He served in the US Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After his military career he was employed by Armco Steel in Butler, PA. A former resident of Clemson, he had made his home in Greenwood since 1986.
A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Retired Military Officers Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a son, Ed and daughter-in-law Debbi Abraham of Greenwood. Two brothers, Abie Abraham of Butler, PA and Phil Abraham of Brookville, FL. Two step-grandsons, John Bailes of Greenville and Jeff Bailes of Charleston. A number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Monday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father Richard Harris officiating.
Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
The body is at the funeral home.
