Shirley Bledsoe Norris, 77, resident of 1408 Wilson Bridge Road, widow of Leonard C. Norris, passed away April 15, 2017, at her home.
Born August 6, 1939, in Saluda, she was a daughter of the late Olin Lee Bledsoe, Sr. and Alice Butler Bledsoe Matthews. She was retired from Greenwood Mills, Ninety Six Plant.
A member of First Baptist Church of Ninety Six, she was also a member of the TEL Sunday School Class of the church.
Surviving are four daughters, Judy and husband Darrel Long of Central, Connie and husband Rick Burgess of Cross Hill, Cathy and husband Curtis Evans of Ware Shoals and Jennifer and husband Alan Peppers of Ninety Six; a brother, Olin Lee, Jr. and wife Carol Bledsoe of Johnston; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters; and two great-granddaughters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 pm Monday, at First Baptist Church of Ninety Six with Rev. John Alexander, Jr officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Sparrow, Mason Peppers, Patrick Evans, Denny Popella, Glenn Coker, Marion Johnson, Barry White and Joseph Brewster.
The family is at the home on Wilson Bridge Road and will receive friends at the church from 3 to 4 Monday afternoon.
