William Clifton "Bill" Hulsey, Jr., 75, resident of 221 Sally White Road, husband of Betty Jo Johnson Hulsey, died May 24, 2012 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, August 10, 1936, he was a son of the late William Clifton, Sr. and Nenice Grace Ogilvie Hulsey. A US Army Veteran, Mr. Hulsey served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Moore Business Forms.
A member of Providence Baptist Church, he was a deacon, a member of the choir and had served on various other committees of the church. He was a member of the Clyde Price Sunday School Class.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-five years of the home are two daughters, Lesley Unruh and husband, Leonard of Phoenix, AZ and Janie Mathis and husband, Marvin, Jr. of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Lauren Roman, Patricia Perez, William Perez and Marvin "Buster" Mathis, III; three great grandchildren; and three sisters, Sara Hamilton, Jackie Reese and Jean Strickland, all of Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Priscilla Johnson and Doris Bell.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12 Noon at Providence Baptist Church with Reverend Lamar Babb officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Providence Baptist Church.
Honorary escort will be men of the church.
The family will receive friends Monday at Providence Baptist Church from 11AM until the service hour and at other times at the home.
