Harold Fuller Creswell, 89, of the Verdery community, husband of Helen Tuck Creswell, died on Father's Day, June 18, 2017, at Hospice House in Greenwood. He and his twin brother, Donald Bryson (Dick) were born January 30, 1928, to Oliver Bryson and Sallie Leo Wilson Creswell of Bradley.
Educated at Bradley School and Greenwood High School, he was a pipeline construction superintendent for several contractors and the Laurens Commission of Public Works. He was a member of Tranquil United Methodist Church, where he faithfully attended and served as long as he was able.
He was a family man who enjoyed family dinners and get-togethers. He loved his wife and four children and always supported them in every way possible.
He is survived by two daughters Harriet Creswell of Verdery and Jeanne C. Rush of Greenwood; two sons, Hal Creswell, Jr. (Maria) of Bradley and Jonathan T. Creswell (Jennifer) of Greenwood; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Craig Creswell of Bradley. He was preceded in death by brothers Tommy Creswell and Dick Creswell and sister Josephine C. Ridlehoover.
A memorial service will be held at Tranquil United Methodist Church at 11 AM Wednesday, June 21, with the Rev. Dr. Shawn G. Armstrong officiating. A private burial service will be in Tranquil Church Cemetery.
The family is at the home in Verdery and will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in Harold's memory be made to the charity of one's choice.
